Tax Parcel Research Policy – Gallatin County
The Gallatin County Treasurer’s Office does not provide general tax records research services free of charge.
To make your research as easy as possible we provide the following:
· Basic taxation information is available on-line AT NO COST!
· To facilitate payments from mortgage service companies, we offer AT NO COST, an electronic file of all tax parcel numbers and amounts due. Please contact our office at 406-582-3030 if you would like to receive this file via e-mail.
· To further assist the public, there is a terminal in our office dedicated to public access of taxation information. Use of this terminal for research is provided AT NO COST. (Perhaps your company has a local branch here in town.)
Individual tax parcel research by an employee in this office is done at $10 per parcel number. Please include a check for the full amount due, payable to the Gallatin County Treasurer, with your request for information.
Local title companies and mortgage service companies also perform these services. Please check the local yellow pages for names and phone numbers.
