The Bozeman Solvent Site is located in the City of Bozeman at the Hastings Shopping Center. Because of the ground-water contamination, a Controlled Ground Water Area has been designated which extends from the site northward beyond Interstate 90 and Frontage Road.
The Idaho Pole Site is located in the northeast portion of the City of Bozeman.
There are additional locations of known hazardous chemical spills and toxic release sites within the boundaries of the Gallatin Local Water Quality District (GLWQD). The GLWQD has a spatial database that identifies areas of known and potential ground water contaminant sources.
