Gallatin County 4-H Shooting Sports

There will be a mandatory parent meeting on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Yellowstone Gateway Sports at 6:00 pm for all members enrolled in Shooting Sports.  It will be an introduction and planning session for the year.  Each participant must be enrolled in 4-H.  Enrollment fee is $20.00 plus $1.00 for each project.  The enrollment fee and the $1.00 project fee covers the cost of curriculum material for each discipline.  

Please download the following documents; these documents must be filled out and turned in before participation can begin.  
If you are participating in the Smallbore Project, you will need to sign this permission form.
These documents will provide you with more information regarding the shooting sports projects.
There are curriculum materials available for archery, rifle, pistol, and shotgun.  All first and second year shooters will be given the curriculum materials.  The veteran shooters will use other materials provided.
 
We are seeking assistance with the following areas during the season; Sign in and sign out, bookkeeping, recordbooks and log books, Friends of NRA fundraiser, shooting sports club, set-up and clean-up, and certified leaders in all disciplines.

The shooting season will officially begin on Sunday, November 27, 2011.  Archery will be at Big Sky Archery with relays at 5:00 and 6:00 pm.  Air Rifle and Air Pistol will take place at Yellowstone Gateway Sports with relays at 5:00 and 6:00 pm.  ALL FIRST AND SECOND YEAR SHOOTERS MUST ATTEND THE 5:00 RELAY FOR ALL DISCIPLINES.  The experienced shooters are asked to attend the 6:00 shift.

The shotgun project will begin in March.  Anyone interested in shooting shotgun, contact Scott Francis at 284-6843.
