Fiscal 2012 Strategic Plan.
Mission: The mission of the Gallatin County DUI Task Force is to prevent and reduce the percentage of alcohol-related traffic fatalities in Gallatin County.
2013 Vision: The vision for the Gallatin County DUI Task Force will be to become the ìface of DUI preventionî by providing education, funding, networking opportunities, enforcement, and public advocacy in Gallatin County. To accomplish that, the Task Force will:
- Have an active and engaged Task Force board that guides the Task Force in meeting its mission based on nonprofit best practices for board governance.
- Have a well-trained and competitively compensated (up to æ time) Coordinator and possibly a part-time Administrative Assistant (up to 10 hours/month) that are charged with coordinating DUI Task Force member efforts in carrying out the strategic plan and documenting the results.
- Develop and implement a minimum of two well-thought-out educational campaigns each year that will be targeted to prevent or reduce the alcohol-related traffic crashes in the Gallatin County (external); the other will aim to educate stakeholders on the purpose and programs of the DUI Task Force (internal).
- Provide statistical data about DUI in Gallatin County as required by MCA 61-2-106.
- Develop strong partnerships and alliances with key DUI stakeholders in Gallatin County, in order to support each partnerís programs and avoid duplication of services and programs.
- Provide a formalized mini-granting process that includes mechanisms to solicit applications, award grant funds using contracts for services in accordance with county purchasing policies and procedures, and evaluate outcomes achieved by the grantee.
- Effectively engage in changing DUI-related policy at the local and state level by monitoring/providing educational advocacy.
