The Swimming Upstream Awards honor community members who work to change how Gallatin County "shows up" around the negative consequences of alcohol misuse.
Held in conjunction with Alcohol and Drug Services of Gallatin County, April 2007 marks the fourth year for the awards.

We serve some fairly decent treats . . .
Many foods are donated by local businesses.
About 100 people attend the event.
We work to create a picture of how it takes all of these people, working in
so many different arenas, to begin to change the community's culture
around alcohol use and misuse.

has a choice about where they work, and the amount of effort, the heart,
they put in to their work.
