When you’ll be drinking. . .
Plan Ahead. . .
Use a Designated Driver
Research says people drive impaired between 200 and 2000 times before they have a traffic incident or get arrested.
That’s on average. For others, It only takes once.
Are you ready to spin the wheel on your odds?
The Designated Driver:
- doesn’t drink any alcoholic beverages at all during the evening
- gives a safe ride home to all friends in the group
- is not under 21. The designated driver idea was developed for adults.
When you use a Designated Driver:
- everyone gets home safely
- there is no question of anyone driving under the influence
- no embarrassing field sobriety tests
- no visits to the Detention Center
- no unflattering booking photos or fingerprinting
- no fines
- no alcohol classes
- no action on your driver’s license
- insurance rates stay low
Don’t have a designated driver?
- Be one yourself. Stay sober.
- Call a cab BEFORE you go out. It’s hard to get a taxi at 2AM.
