While the State of Montana licenses public accomodations, local sanitarians are required to perform preliminary inspections that assure the safety of the public and the prevention of unsanitary and unhealthful conditions and practices.  Public accomodations include: Outfitting and guide facilities Hotels, motels, rooming & boarding houses & tourist home Bed and breakfasts
