The project is divided into four levels. You should work with your bicycle project leader in establishing goals. The project will be more worthwhile if several members in the same club are enrolled in this project.

BICYCLE, Level 1 - 5110
Welcome to Bicycle Adventures! Ready to see the world's colors whiz by and feel the wind in your face? Then it's time to take off with Bicycle Adventures. This new level of the 4-H bicycle project will help you discover the joy of riding a bicycle. You will also learn how to do it safely and how to look out for things that might get in your way. This level includes eleven activities to get you started in the bicycle project, but don't let this stop you from learning more on your own.

BICYCLE, Level 2 - 5120
Now that you have gained control of your bike, learned how to navigate in traffic, and do some basic repairs to your bike, you are ready for this level of the bike project. The bicycle you ride is probably more complicated than ones you've ridden before. In this unit, you will learn how to do specialized repairs and maintenance. You'll also learn advanced maneuvers such as emergency handling, efficient gear shifting, and how to ride safely in adverse conditions. You also discover how you can advocate for bicycle friendly communities and turn your cycling knowledge into a career. To complete the project, you must complete a minimum of seven activities each year and participate in at least two leadership activities, such as giving a demonstrations, organizing a group ride, teaching others about
bike, or organizing a bike rodeo.

BICYCLE, Level 3 - 5130
This level includes activities that expand on the skills learned in previous level. You will learn how to make bearing cone adjustments, maintain bicycle spokes, and determine what bike accessories you might want. Additional activities are given for highway bicycling and formation driving, and more advanced bicycle games and safety skill.

BICYCLE, Level 4 - 5140
In this level, you'll learn how to clean and lubricate bearings, care for pedals, adjust bicycle brakes and align spokes. You'll help conduct a bicycle program or activity in your community and be advanced enough in the bicycle project to participate in a 50-mile minimum round-trip bike tour and camping trip.
