The Montana Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (MCCCP) is a statewide program that focuses on preventing cancer and improving outcomes for those affected by this disease. The MCCCP is a partner to the Montana Cancer Control Coalition (MTCCC). The MTCCC is a statewide coalition of health advocates with the common mission to reduce the overall burden of cancer for Montanans. Locally, there is a cancer control program with an active coalition made up of a diverse group of individuals that have come together for the same common goal – to prevent and control cancer. Over the
next year, our primary focus will be the prevention and early detection of colorectal cancer. Many of our activities will focus on building partnerships with local agencies and in surrounding counties, education and increasing colorectal screenings. For questions or if you would like to get involved in the coalition, please contact the Gallatin City-County Health Department at: 582-3100.
