The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has adopted new
Flood Insurance Rate Maps for Gallatin County.
These maps go into effect on September 2, 2011.
Viewing FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps on the Web
To view the FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps on the web, begin by opening the files titled
Map Index Part 1 and Map Index Part 2 and note the map panel numbers you are interested in viewing.
Next, open the file that corresponds to the map panel number you have noted.
If you are “zoomed in” on the map and wish to print just a portion of the map, please remember to select print “current view” under print options. Technical information regarding the maps can be obtained by consulting the file titled Flood Insurance Study.
FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps can also be viewed and printed on FEMA’s website.

Viewing FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps in Person
For properties in the City of Bozeman, floodplain maps can be viewed at the Engineering Department, 20 E. Olive Street in Bozeman.
For properties in the City of Three Forks, floodplain maps can be viewed at City Hall, 206 Main Street in Three Forks.
For properties in the City of Belgrade, floodplain maps can be viewed at 91 E. Central Ave. in Belgrade.
For properties in Gallatin County, floodplain maps can be viewed at the Planning Department, 311 W. Main Street, Room #108, in Bozeman.
