Our Mission
The Planning Department is responsible for planning, subdivision, zoning, and floodplain services in Gallatin County. The Department:

Provides professional planning support to County Commission, Planning Board and general public for the development and implementation of the County Plan/Growth Policy and other land use plans. |
l |
Manages and administers the County's Subdivision Regulations, Floodplain Regulations, and a variety of zoning district regulations. |
l |
Reviews and approves land use permits, site plans, and floodplain development permits. |
l |
Reviews and reports to decision-making bodies on subdivision proposals and zoning applications, including conditional use permits, variances, and amendments. |
l |
Provides information to the public about regulations, procedures and land use patterns. |
